It would be nice to have a direct link for parents/students to register directly to a program.

Let's say I have a student who isn't registered for the activity, I can have a direct registration link that I send the parent to let them know their student needs to get registered. It would take them to the login, they then select the student "who would you like to register for Boys Basketball?" and it automatically starts registration for that particular activity.
