We have some seasons where we can't dual sport... could we have some type of a toggle or setting that only allows them to choose one program and then one option from a grouping of registrations.

That way you could group together A season or a group of programs that they have to choose from. We don't want the kid to be able to sign up for Wrestling and BB at the same time. I would think this would mostly be grouped by season...

So I would say groups... and allow groups and individual program registrations to live at the same level.
