Need to have a notifications that is automatically sent to workers when a school is manually assigning the workers.

So if the school does not let the workers sign up for thier shifts but instead assigns them -we need a notification that will go out that directs the worker to go to their portal to view assignments or says something like you. have been assigned to the following shift at the following event. Include the shift instructions in that message.

I say yes. Any opportunity for notifications makes it easier for AD’s. People can opt in or out to receive them, but at least by having them it gives an AD one less thing to worry about.
